Disclaimer
Calcoryn's calculators and converters are informational tools. This page explains, in plain terms, what that means for the different kinds of tools on this site.
General Calculations
Everyday calculators — percentages, dates, fractions and unit conversions — perform a fixed, well-defined mathematical operation on the numbers you provide. The math itself is straightforward, but the result is only as accurate as the numbers you enter.
Financial, Loan and Investment Tools
Mortgage, auto loan, credit, retirement, investment and other finance-related calculators illustrate how a particular formula (for example, a standard amortization or compound-interest calculation) behaves with the inputs you choose. They do not represent an offer, pre-qualification, pre-approval, or guarantee of any loan, rate, or investment outcome. A lender, financial institution, or advisor is the only source that can confirm what you'd actually qualify for or receive.
Construction and Measurement Tools
Square footage, concrete, roof pitch, decking, paint and similar calculators estimate geometric quantities (area, volume, material counts) from the dimensions you provide. They do not account for site-specific conditions, building codes, structural requirements, or material waste beyond any allowance the tool explicitly lets you set. Always confirm quantities and specifications with the relevant professional or supplier before a purchase or build.
Calculators That Depend on Your Assumptions
Many results depend directly on an assumption you provide — a tax rate, an interest rate, a waste percentage, a growth rate. Changing that assumption changes the result. Where a tool applies a default (for example, a commonly cited fee rate), that default is shown on the page and is a starting point to check against your own current, specific figures — not a guarantee that it still applies to your situation.
No Approval or Outcome Guarantee
No calculator on this site can approve, deny, or guarantee any real-world financial, lending, insurance or investment outcome. Only the actual institution involved in that transaction can do that.
Why Your Real Result May Differ
Real-world results can differ from a calculator's output because of rounding, local rules or tax treatment, a specific lender's or provider's own method, fees the calculator doesn't ask about, or conditions — rates, prices, regulations — that have changed since you used the tool. Treat every result as an estimate, not a final figure.
When to Consult a Professional
For decisions with meaningful financial, legal, safety, health, or structural consequences, talk to a qualified professional — a licensed lender, financial advisor, accountant, attorney, contractor, or engineer as appropriate — who can review your actual, specific circumstances. This Disclaimer, and the calculators on this site, are not a substitute for that advice.
